As part of activities around the Long Leys Neighbourhood Plan, LLRA is holding a workshop on Travel at Discovery Café, St. Georges Hospital on Wednesday 18 September. The workshop will run 6pm -7.30pm and will be facilitated by Steve Kemp from Open Plan (planning consultants).
The workshop’s objective will primarily be to identify areas where long-term planning policies could/should be developed for the Neighbourhood Plan e.g. new walking or cycling routes. There are likely to be spin-offs such as views on how/whether we should get more people out of cars and using buses.
If you have an interest or ideas to help improve travel options in Long Leys, please book your place on the workshop by emailing your contact details to: planning@long-leys.org. All Long Leys residents are welcome. Please let us know by 2pm on Wednesday 18 September if you are attending the Travel workshop so we can organise accordingly.
As background, below is some data from the 2021 National Census which may give some insight into how Long Leys differs to other areas. Note: since the 2021 census was carried out during COVID restrictions, some data may have changed since then.
