LLRA is delighted to advise that a creation order for a new footpath (Footpath Number 1220) between Albion Crescent and Whitton Park has been completed. This means a Right of Way now exists across Newt Hollow and Hobblers Hole to link up with the existing footpath that runs alongside Whitton Park (Footpath Number 6). The path is a replacement for the now closed section of footpath which ran alongside the disused quarry area up to the Burton Road. The new path will be available for use once the ongoing construction work to stabilise Yarborough Road is complete this Summer.
The official order below shows the route, which branches off from the existing historic footpath (Footpath Number 3) from Albion Crescent, crosses over Newt Hollow keeping the pond there on the right, and then into Hobblers Hole to cross towards Whitton Park. Now that the creation order has been issued, LLRA will be working with Lincolnshire County Council to deliver the improvements to the path surface suggested in: Community Vote On Replacement Footpath Between Albion Crescent & Burton Road.
LLRA looks forward to advising when the path upgrade will commence.
