Update: 11:00 Tuesday 30 October. We had clarification last night from the Commons Advisory Panel (CAP), that the intention was not to stop cycling on the path running between Long Leys Road and West Parade. The ban on cycling on West Common will relate to people riding on "grassed areas and damaging it". February 2019 Opening For Long Leys Nursing Home
LLRA understand that work is progressing well on the new 72-bed care home with nursing, being built for Tanglewood Care Homes on Long Leys Road. A manager for the home has been appointed and will meet with LLRA in the next few weeks. Volunteers Wanted: Help Us To Slow Speeding Traffic
You'll be pleased that the police are now far more active in slowing down the traffic on Long Leys Road to the legal limit. The difference in driver behaviour really is noticeable when they are here.
