From Monday 20 April 2020 the 777 – Lincoln to Saxilby Bus Service will replace the current Service 20 bus service. The new service, run by PC Coaches, will:
- Deliver 9 journeys a day Monday to Saturday to the City Centre
- Provide a new direct link to Burton Waters & Saxilby
- Provide a drop off point on Silver Street for off-peak journeys
The new service allows Long Leys residents to consider switching to the bus for their daily commute to work, with the City Centre bus station reachable in 10 minutes. Pricing information will be shared once available from PC Coaches.
Given the reinstatement of a Saturday timetable, the CallConnect service will be withdrawn at the same time.
The 777 service is largely a commercial service, with a £25,000 payment from the County Council to divert the service via Long Leys Road as well as the West End and Burton Waters. The County Council payments are on a rolling basis with no end date.
LLRA’s thanks go to the Transport Services Team at Lincolnshire County Council for reviewing the bus services and to Councillor Robert Parker who has been highly active in seeking improvements to our bus services.
