Would the owner of a quad bike being used to ride along the footpaths and local wildlife sites in Long Leys please contact LLRA by email at LLRA@long-leys.org.
LLRA has had reports of damage to the local wildlife site at Hobblers Hole, with the rider of a quad-bike like vehicle causing tyre damage to the pond area, grass and vegetation, as well as apparently cutting back tree branches with a saw to gain access to the pond area. LLRA would like to highlight the consequences of these actions to the rider, and also to explain the danger of using a powered vehicle, on a route soon to be used by young children coming from both St Georges and the Yarbrough Road as they head towards an upgraded Whittons Park playpark.
LLRA would prefer that the owner of the quadbike resolves this matter directly with its rider, rather than LLRA having to escalate it to other parties. Thank you.
