Winter maintenance activity by the City Council at Whittons Park has involved the addition of additional new gates into the park and the play area.
A new westerly pedestrian gate has been added for those entering the park from Long Leys Road, removing the incentive for visitors to push through the hedge.
…and by popular demand a southern pedestrian access gate has been added to the fenced play area. This will mean parents with buggies will no longer have to walk to the top entrance to get into the play area.
LLRA thanks the City Council for these upgrades.
The Whittons Park children’s playpark upgrade project is yet to commence as City Council resources have been understandably diverted to other key areas at the moment, to support the response to the pandemic.
