A huge thank you to the residents of Long Leys and the wider Carholme community (including our friends from Liquorice Park) who came out on Saturday 3 November for our Autumn tidy-up, with equipment kindly provided by Councillor Lucinda Preston. We picked up around 40 bags of rubbish from hedgerows and footpaths during the morning. Thanks also to Travis Perkins in Lincoln, for donating rubbish bags and for allowing us to leave the rubbish bags in their waste skips.
We had over 40 people helping and this picture is of just one of our groups by the Higson Steps! A special thank you to the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers of the 7th Lincoln Scout Group who came along to assist in tidying up Whitton Park and the surrounding area.
Lucinda is organising a further Carholme Tidy-Up on Sunday 18th November afternoon, meeting at 2pm, corner of Nelson St & Carholme Rd. Equipment is provided: Litter picker, hi vis vest and gloves.
