LLRA have been advised that Lincolnshire County Council Highways contractors are likely to be replacing the existing concrete street lighting columns with “galvanised steel units and energy efficient LED lanterns”. The work is likely to be undertaken over the next six weeks (although dates are subject to change).
LCC advise: The Street Lighting columns are being replaced on a one for one basis so the positions will generally remain unchanged. Where applicable however, some minor changes may be required to provide adequate clearance from drives, to avoid underground utilities and to ensure columns are sited within the Adopted Highway.
All reasonable measures will be taken to complete the works as quickly as possible and every effort will be taken to minimise any disruption and inconvenience which may be caused.
The work includes lighting columns in the access area for 130-144 Long Leys Road.
