The community is grateful for the use of the Discovery Cafe venue, provided at no charge by St George’s. The Discovery Cafe will be open from 6:30pm. The cafe is staffed by volunteers who are opening the cafe specifically for the Long Leys community so do please consider arriving a little earlier to show your support by maybe purchasing refreshments. The cafe offers cappuccinos, coffees and teas as well as soft drinks.
The full agenda will be published before the meeting by the LLRA and would typically include:
- Welcome and Introductions
- Overview of LLRA
- Updates on recent/current issues
- New issues (contributions invited from attendees)
- LLRA accounts summary
- Election of committee members
The local county and city councillors plan to attend, so please use this opportunity to bring any issues or concerns you may have to their attention.
Anyone wishing to stand for election to the Residents Association simply needs to attend the AGM, and make themselves known at the appropriate stage of the meeting. They are also welcome to send candidate profile details and a photograph to the Long Leys Community website to help improve their visibility within the community. See LLRA Committee page for an example profile. There is no requirement for any candidate to do this.

How To Find The Discovery Cafe
To find the Discovery Cafe from Long Leys Road
- Turn into Carram Way by Utopia Hair & Beauty
- In 150 metres turn right into Manrico Drive
- In 30 metres turn right into Benbow Way
- In 100 metres, at the junction, turn left, continuing along Benbow Way
- in 75 metres, you will be at Discovery House
There are some double doors just to the right of the main entrance doors of Discovery House. Please use these doors to get into the cafe, as the cafe access via the main entrance doors is locked in the evening.
