Carholme Residents Complete Virtual London Marathon for Amnesty International

Carholme residents David O’Donnell of West Parade and Robert Parker from Carline Road completed the 26.2 miles of the Virtual London Marathon on Sunday. This alternative version allows people taking part to run/walk the distance in the 24 hours of Sunday 2 October.

Rob Parker reports: “We completed the marathon in 8hrs 30 minutes and were tracked all the way round by satellite monitoring connected to our mobile phones! Between us we have raised over £700 for Amnesty International. Here’s a picture of us at the end of the 26.2 miles outside the Queen in the West before we enjoyed a drink”.
