Lincoln West End Lights: Friday 8 December 7-9:30pm
It’s Lincoln’s home-grown night of light when ordinary people do something extraordinary! It started in Lincoln’s West End in 2010 when 9 houses took part. The city was covered in snow and the roads were closed because of thick ice. In the cold winter’s chill a few warm lights shone out as house windows were turned into cinema screens, light sculptures bloomed in front gardens and candles in lanterns flickered much to the surprise of unsuspecting passersby. Since then the event has grown with over 60 locations taking part now. Covering much of the West End, you can start on Hewson Road or West Parade and explore from there or check out the map on lincoln-west-end-lights.com.
