A big thank you to the 20 enthusiastic volunteers who took to Long Leys Road on Saturday morning (29 March 2025) armed with litter pickers and bin bags. The team made a sweep of the verges on Long Leys Road, along with the Albion Crescent to Whittons Park path area and the Higson Steps. In total, volunteers contributed 26 hours of their own time to give Long Leys its Spring tidy-up. The rubbish was kindly disposed of by our local Travis Perkins branch.
LLRA’s next litter-picking event will be in the Autumn (November). Watch out for details nearer the time.
