Find The Discovery Cafe
To find the Discovery Cafe from Long Leys Road on foot
- Turn into Carram Way by Utopia Hair & Beauty
- In 150 metres turn right into Manrico Drive
- In 30 metres turn right into Benbow Way
- In 100 metres, at the junction, turn left, continuing along Benbow Way
- in 75 metres, you will be at Discovery House
Alternatively you can walk through the hospital grounds from the main Long Leys Road entrance.
Go through the main entrance doors of Discovery House and the Cafe is to the right.
May I first congratulate the committee members on a well produced plan which I mostly support. My main criticism is that some of the suggestions are based on what could be considered rather few responses, though how you get more responses I am not sure. I have always worried that there is not the real support for a shop and a community area – the number of respondents would not be sufficient to make either viable so the silent residents would have to support them. Now I see in the plan that the shop (and the community area?) can be allowed to apply for a change of planning if they say that it is unviable. Is there any check on this?
