Find The Discovery Cafe
To find the Discovery Cafe from Long Leys Road on foot
- Turn into Carram Way by Utopia Hair & Beauty
- In 150 metres turn right into Manrico Drive
- In 30 metres turn right into Benbow Way
- In 100 metres, at the junction, turn left, continuing along Benbow Way
- in 75 metres, you will be at Discovery House
Alternatively you can walk through the hospital grounds from the main Long Leys Road entrance.
There are some double doors just to the right of the main entrance doors of Discovery House. Please use these doors to get into the cafe, as the cafe access via the main entrance doors is locked in the evening.
To enable all attendees to hear what is being said, microphones and a sound system will be used at the meeting. Attendees are respectfully reminded that they are expected to conduct themselves in a reasonable manner throughout the meeting and give others the opportunity to express their views.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ELECTIONS
Any Long Leys resident who wishes to make a positive contribution to the community is warmly encouraged to stand at the AGM for election to the management committee. The committee meets around seven times per year and committee members also devote time to progressing specific initiatives on behalf of the community. It also represents Long Leys residents with several bodies including the city and county councils.
The committee consists of between 5 and 9 committee members (currently 8), depending on volunteer workload and the number of projects being progressed.
To stand, simply download a nomination form from long-leys.org/election and complete and return by Monday 8 September to the LLRA Secretary LLRA@long-leys.org.
